redstorm: Meridian Shout Out

Much as the main game (in the village) got postponed for 2007, we are still running a Beta Game at a new site for interested peoples. This is a full game, just without the town. It will also be used to fine tune the rules for publication.

This game is only $36 for the entire weekend, and involves some meals. Details HERE
Just click the links off the main page.

Map to site HERE (PDF)
More details under General Info - Date and Location.

I strongly recommend that people pre-book, as we will have to turn people away at the door if we hit capacity (around 100 players).
Online booking is HERE!

Most rules are online - since we can't contact our website guy at the moment the races segment is available on the FORUMS. Linked, since I know that you guys will be interested. ;)

And in summary....

Here, have a rat!

redstorm: Meridian LARP Live Journal Community

Meridian will be an ongoing large scale (fest) event that will take place once a year. The first event will be Labor Day weekend (Sept 1-4th) and it will be held in Southern California. We aim to accommodate around 1000 players, although the site should comfortably hold more than 2000.
The game is 18yrs or older only (15-17 with parent). There will be alcohol and combat. But you don't have to participate in either.

The game is aimed at more than just the larp community. It is being co-run by a Brit and an American, and will have many European influences, and many new ideas.
The aim of the game is to unite local, not so local and international groups, and to also help them promote their own
events and meet new people.

The game is aimed at:

Live Roleplayers
Table Top Roleplayers
Lord Of The Rings fans
Vampire/Werewolf fans
Comic Fans
Narnia Fans
Anyone that has ever seen a fantasy movie and wants to live it for a weekend!

We have a site, a date, and are fine tuning the plots, rules and props as we speak.

We invite you to join, bring your friends, and come enjoy one hell of a weekend experience.

This community should help to answer some questions. More will be available on the website when we start the promotion proper.
